Teacher?
I think I heard on the cricket coverage once that Michael Hussey is a qualified teacher. I was hoping to find out what degree/qualifications that Hussey has from university, and also what sort of teacher he is (primary school, secondary school, etc). DarthVader 07:16, 21 November 2005 (UTC)
Curtin University, secondary teacher...

Yes, he is. I was in his class during his practical. And someone just reverted my edit and I have no idea why. It was accurate. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 202.89.188.87 (talk) 01:15, 21 January 2010 (UTC)
Mr. Cricket?
Here is another link throwing additional light on the background behind this nickname

Michael hussey isn't the only player to average over 50 in both tests and ODI's. Remove this from the lead.
PLease remove "Michael hussey is the only player in the history of cricket to average over 50 in both test and one day international cricket". Jonathon Trott currently also holds this honour so this is false. And please unprotect the page so I can edit it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 120.18.40.210 (talk) 11:35, 23 January 2011 (UTC)
- Trott's only played 14 ODIs and it is standard in cricket stats to have a 20 innings minimum. Come back if he can maintain it for another 6 matches. The-Pope (talk) 13:53, 23 January 2011 (UTC)
- Booger scored 137 today and now averages 56 after 17 ODI's. This means even three ducks will ensure his average is above 50 in both ODI's and tests. Please remove from Hussey's page that he's the only batsmen to average over 50 in both ODI's and tests. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 120.18.55.7 (talk) 10:24, 2 February 2011 (UTC)
- It was removed last week by someone else. Trott's played well this tour, but it will be interesting to see what he averages after 150 matches. The-Pope (talk) 11:31, 2 February 2011 (UTC)

True but remember that Trott's list A average is 46.79 and so even when his ODI average stabilizes, he will still average 50'ish in ODI's. His domestic one day average is a good indication of what he will average in internationals, if not a lower estimate, since he seems to be a player like Hussey who does well when he becomes an international player. Also remember Hussey's good average is due to the fact he bats lower order so he has many not outs to his name whereas trott bats no. 3. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 120.18.181.184 (talk) 02:42, 3 February 2011 (UTC)
Hussey's average
There's a graph showing the average of Hussey's last 10 innings, but it's really out of date. Can someone please update it, or we'll have to remove it? IBE (talk) 12:27, 3 January 2012 (UTC)
