On Being Head Writer

I can say this for a fact: he does not appear as head writer in the credits to episode 106 (The Crawling Hand) and does appear as head writer in episode 202 (Sidehackers).RARoth 20:51, 30 May 2007 (UTC)

Well, the article says he was the host for "most of the show's 11-year run" (emphasis added), so that kinda takes care of that. Actually, I'm not sure what your point was, but I think I covered it. --Brandon Dilbeck 03:13, 31 May 2007 (UTC)

WikiProject class rating

This article was automatically assessed because at least one WikiProject had rated the article as start, and the rating on other projects was brought up to start class. BetacommandBot 07:22, 10 November 2007 (UTC)

Education

Anybody know if Mike Nelson graduated from college, and if so, which college? In MST3K The Movie he has a UW-Stout shirt on, so maybe that's where he went, but during the show the bots would make jokes that he never finished college. The show took liberties with Mike Nelson the character versus Michael J. Nelson the person, so I don't know that I can take the bots word for it. Any thoughts? ==Buckley 07:04, 9 May 2008

Mike's youth/school history in Wisconsin?

I recall watching the show on several occasions he made references to one of our teachers here, but I don't recall if it was Bayport High or Ashwaubenon high.

Does anyone know if he actually attended school here in the Green Bay area, or would you like me to visit our local schools to research this so that we can add it to his Bio?

(PS-Tony Shaloub also went to school here--I think it was the same one, and his brother-in-law still runs their family's 100+ yr old candy store, 'Seroogy's', here. So I guess GB has a few celebs, 'eh?)

Thanks so much; looking forward to getting involved and helping if I can, Steve --ClassTax (talk) 16:26, 3 July 2008 (UTC)

Untitled

I'm pretty sure he wasn't head writer till the start of the second season. 167.245.244.2 21:59, 26 March 2004 (UTC)

I changed the part about Mike's commentaries to mention Plan 9 from Outer Space rather than Carnival of Souls. Plan 9 is a more well-known film, and Mike's commentary on that film is more notable (and, in my opinion, funnier) than the commentary on Carnival of Souls, as Plan 9 was originally considered as a Mystery Science Theater 3000 episode, and Carnival of Souls, to the best of my knowledge, was not. I just picked up the colorized re-release of the original Night of the Living Dead, and saw that he has a commentary on it. I haven't watched yet, so don't know about the quality of it, but I thought it was enough of a cult classic that it should be mentioned. Someone who knows how should really turn my edit into a link. EDIT: Nevermind, figured it out.Cretinousblowfish 01:04, 8 January 2007 (UTC)

Age

The age in the picture says he's 44, yet that is no longer the case (2009 - 1964 = 45) Although I may just be bad at math :\

His birthday has yet to happen this year, so he is still just 44.Wonderland42 (talk) 09:20, 19 September 2009 (UTC)
