Pictures

Is there a reason that both of the pictures on this page are from Batman (Actually, to be fair, I'm pretty sure the top one is Batman Returns)? It was a good movie and all, but maybe there needs to be a change-up.Dlmccaslin 18:24, 25 June 2007 (UTC)

keaton was the best portrayal of batman

Has anyone seen the TV Mini Series "The Company"[1], with Michael Keaton playing a key role? My feelings are that it has to be one of Michael's greatest performances ever; Michael has been nominated for a Screen Actors Guild Awards for Outstanding Male Actor for this role. As far as it being his best performance ever, I leave that to a consensus, but it is certainly one of his most brilliant.

marriage

I believe Keaton was married only 3-4 years -- not eight. Ifnkovhg (talk) 01:20, 16 March 2008 (UTC)

This doesn't make any sense:

"Before his big break (while still credited as Michael Douglas), Keaton did a billboard ad for the Architect Jeans Company. In an interview in 2003 for Live from Baghdad, Keaton stated how that the director of the Architect commercial, Spike Jonze, became fast friends with Keaton."

Spike Jonze was directing commercials in the 1970's, in spite of being born in 1969? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.207.245.88 (talk) 03:09, 8 November 2008 (UTC)

something else that doesnt make sense...he was barney? lol..i doubt that. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 207.255.46.89 (talk) 03:36, 16 June 2009 (UTC)

White Noise

Had to make mention concerning researches I have been doing with p.c., and imagery I have that are interpretable vivid pictures that have references, and one has image of Saturn, and red white and blue band across the middle, that could remind someone of The Outer Limits. There is also Native American Double Eagle, and many others. Having trouble finding anyone to know what to do with information. I suspect that people broke into my line, and tapped information, but don't know what it means, how to interpret it, or what to do with it.75.249.13.235 (talk) 22:00, 11 November 2009 (UTC)

Don't worry citizen, WE are only tapping your line to make sure you aren't distributing information about how WE are creating the myth of THEM to keep people from realizing that the peanut butter manufacturers are behind the military industrial complex and dentists are manipulating the economy to ensure the take over of world governments by geneticlly engineered dolphins. There is nothing to be afraid of, ignore those snipers camping outside of your residence, those are just there to make sure that people don't see the AIDS infected attack dogs. Trivia

Height should not be under both Trivia and the floating box up on the top right. Pick one. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 76.214.208.75 (talkcontribs) 13:58, 25 November 2006.

Being a Keaton buff, I've not seen evidence of certain pieces of "trivia," therefore, I'm removing them unless somebody wants to provide some sort of proof. He has never done anything to side with a particular political affiliation, lest of all publicly. If someone wants to keep the theory that he gave money to John Kerry's campaign, come up with some evidence.

Is an FEC filing evidence. A simple google search provides links to that and a ton of other mentions of Mr. Keatons financial affiliation with the Kerry campaign. http://herndon1.sdrdc.com/cgi-bin/fecimg/?24961466800 That is a link to a copy of the Federal Elections Commission Filing. Some buff you are. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.100.129.214 (talk) 13:16, 26 July 2010 (UTC)

The same goes for the "Lost", "Pirates" and "The Fly" rumors. Bring some proof. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 24.130.140.194 (talkcontribs) 00:29, 19 July 2006. "After the Keaton casting, Warner Bros. received thousands of letters of complaint by fans commenting that the comedic Keaton was the wrong choice for Gotham City's creature of the night. However, their fears were proven wrong when Keaton turned in a widely-acclaimed performance."

Relevance of political donations

If this is fair game here on Wikipedia, I have the FEC master file (ftp://ftp.fec.gov/FEC/), and maybe we should be pointing out who donates to radical right wing pieces of (fill in the blank). The list is long, and can actually make the subject of the biography look like either a nutcase or Dr. Evil depending on whom.

If such donations are deemed fair game for wikipedia, using the FEC as a source, I think it's high time to make known who the radical right wingers are, even moreso, the lunatics they donate money to, without regard to the harm to the subject of the biography's career that can happen by public knowledge of donations to such right wing lunatics.

...Or is it only relevant if a right winger posts donations information sourcing FEC, as in this article? What comes around must go around. Keaton's donation to Kerry in 2004 is not even notable when compared to donations from high-profile personalities to complete right wing LUNATICS. I can back up that last statement with the facts too.

Birthplace - Pennsylvania NOT Maryland

I don't know why people keep changing his birthplace. Michael Keaton was born in Coraopolis, Pennsylvania, U.S., not Coraopolis, Maryland. I have added Biography.com's reference published by A&E Television Networks. All the sources I have seen say the actor was born in Coraopolis, Pennsylvania. There is absolutely no mention of Maryland. Unless there is proof from a reliable source, I say we leave it "as is". CreativeSoul7981 (talk) 18:45, 31 December 2010 (UTC)

Birthday?

It says here that he was born on September 9th; however, on IMDb, it says his birthday is September 5th. Which is correct? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.27.17.186 (talk) 00:38, 10 January 2009 (UTC)

I came here to check the same issue. We generally don't like IMDB here on WP because it is not considered a reliable source. The other 2 main sources we have say he was born 9 September 1951. Why have we ignored them? -- Jack of Oz [your turn] 05:00, 25 June 2011 (UTC)

Telekinesis

Birdman seems like Michael Keaton's personal confession that he has the power of telekinesis. Should it be mentioned within the article that Michael Keaton has telekinesis in real life? Perhaps under the "Personal life" section?169.234.195.106 (talk) 04:34, 24 November 2014 (UTC)

M.A.S.H. 1977

Michael Keaton was in a M.A.S.H. segment I just saw on METV which he lost a leg and blamed the Dr.Sydney who plays the mental theropist. The Dr. sent him back to combat and he had lost his leg the second time back. He (who Keaton played) said his family owned the largest Hardware store in Cleveland. There was no title but at the end of the show the date was 1977. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.86.226.19 (talk) 03:04, 29 November 2014 (UTC)

That episode would be "War of Nerves", but Keaton doesn't seem to be listed in the credits. 2600:1006:B107:335F:5AD:4287:E314:1B02 (talk) 18:17, 29 November 2014 (UTC)

Birthplace

I've reverted an OR claim about Keaton's birthplace being Robinson Township, which an editor placed based on a comment he or she may have heard or misheard on some undated telecast given without link, timestamp or anything else. Keaton may have been raised there, but Robinson Township has no hospital, so unless that editor can WP:VERIFY that Keaton was delivered at home perhaps in a car within town limits, that is a blatant WP:BLP vio. Keaton seems to have been raised there, but lots of people are born one place and raised nearby. See Alec Baldwin. All we have that we can verify so far is the cited source giving "Coraopolis (some sources cite Pittsburgh), PA". --Tenebrae (talk) 18:42, 9 November 2016 (UTC)

moved BACK to Pittsburgh

Robinson Township is a suburb of Pittsburgh as is McKees Rocks. He didn't move to Pittsburgh he moved back to Pittsburgh.

This is inaccurate. Robinson Township is not part of the City of Pittsburgh. It is a neighboring community. The same is true of McKees Rocks.--2601:547:A80:22C0:697B:BBB:5901:57 (talk) 02:29, 2 February 2021 (UTC)
