editI am still working on a table format for the previous open wheel (USAC and CART) races at Michigan. It should be added soon. Doctorindy 17:56, 28 August 2006 (UTC)
CART races
editThe tables seem rather jumbled, since there are multiple races over the years. instead of seprarating the 500's out, I think it would be best to lump all of the CART races together (summer and fall) into one table, with the race names making the distances clear. Since the second race was dropped rather early on ('86), the continuity shouldn't be so bad. Doctorindy 19:07, 11 September 2006 (UTC)
Citations?
editSorry for the lack of citations. I've attended many of the MIS CART/IRL races since 1993, and have held press credentials since 2001. I'm working on an article for publication covering the rise and fall of the MIS open-wheel events. When I get that done, I'll add more to the USAC history. Tim Wohlford.
