Removal of date of birth sourced to primary sources
editPublic or company records should not be used as sources for personal information in biographies of living people. Wikipedia has a specific policy dealing with this, WP:BLPPRIMARY: "Do not use public records that include personal details, such as date of birth, home value, traffic citations, vehicle registrations, and home or business addresses." The material may of course be restored with a secondary source if there is one available. January (talk) 03:55, 18 February 2013 (UTC)
- To the IP editor who restored this material [1] - on what basis do you claim that these are not public records? January (talk) 16:47, 29 March 2013 (UTC)
- Also regarding the disputed birth place, the Time Out interview with Flanagan clearly states it as London Hospital in Whitechapel. This is not inconsistent with a birth record saying Stepney, as according to this the Whitechapel registration district was abolished in 1926 to become part of Stepney registration district. Left school at 15
editThis cannot be true. Flanagan claims this in his shows. But it was not legal to leave school at 15. Rustygecko (talk) 01:33, 11 October 2021 (UTC)
