editMicky Ward won the WBU Light Welterweight title when he knocked Shea Neary out, so it's inaccurate to say that he never won a world title. I'm going to make the change on the page.

Copyvio
editLarge chunks of the biography here were lifted verbatim from the biography (here) at Mickey Ward's official site. Material in Wikipedia must be original and not copy-pastes of copyrighted material appearing elsewhere. I've marked the page with the copyvio tag, which must remain until an administrator investigates. --Tenebrae (talk) 20:07, 28 November 2010 (UTC)
- I have placed a notice on the talk page of the anon IP who had inserted the copyrighted material, most likely in good faith during a very early time of Wikipedia, at 09:07, 1 April 2003. --Tenebrae (talk) 20:12, 28 November 2010 (UTC)
Replace this article with SirFozzie's prepared article. GoodDay (talk) 03:59, 1 December 2010 (UTC)
- Knew I forgot to mention it here, it's at [1]. I'll update the article more later this week, when the book on Ward gets here. SirFozzie (talk) 04:03, 1 December 2010 (UTC)

- Thanks. Since I was the one who wrote it, I figure hopefully another administrator will do the needful here. SirFozzie (talk) 04:10, 1 December 2010 (UTC)

POV and other issues
editAn anon IP today made a number of undiscussed and uncited, often POV changes ("famous left hook", etc.). As well he removed references to Louis Veader that are cited at BoxRec as "WBU Intercontinental Light Welterweight Title". Please discuss before reverting. --Tenebrae (talk) 20:08, 26 December 2010 (UTC)
