Fair use rationale for Image:Miclogo.JPG
editImage:Miclogo.JPG is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
MIC and the Tri-County Conference
editI am debating whether the Tri-County Conference should be considered a direct forerunner of the MIC (and that info added onto that page), since the only school from the final year of that conference that isn't in the MIC's initial season is Swayzee, which consolidated into Oak Hill (a member of both conferences). The other option would be to consider the TCC a different conference, however that could get confusing, as there were multiple conferences of that name in Indiana. I would like to hear some feedback over how that should be approached before I decide to do one or the other. Mtndrums (talk) 00:36, 22 February 2012 (UTC)
- After doing further newspaper research, I have found out that the TCC is also directly linked to the Howard-Miami Conference, which itself is linked to the old Howard County Conference (which was down to three after consolidations in 1950). For sake of clarity, I will leave the MIC as its own page, and created a page for the Northern TCC, with an additional disambiguation page between this version and the one in Southeast Indiana (which ironically enough, operated at the same time). The Northern TCC page will include the HMC as a direct forerunner, and I am not sure how to proceed with the HCC yet (many counties operated their own conferences pre-consolidation). Many of these older conferences changed names frequently despite having fairly minor membership changes (the HMC becoming the TCC due to adding the Grant County schools now part of Oak Hill is a great example), so while not every incarnation of a conference would deserve its own page, I also feel that having more than two conferences as forerunners on one page would also be confusing.Mtndrums (talk) 19:26, 20 March 2012 (UTC)
