Magoun Square
editMagoun Square is (currently, at least) in Somerville, not Cambridge. (Or are there two?) There is a Magoun Street in Cambridge near the intersection of Route 2 and Route 3, but that can't be the right place, either. What is the square at the intersection of Broadway, Hampshire, Portland, and Cardinal Medeiros? -- Beland (talk) 15:10, 8 July 2008 (UTC)
- To answer my own question at least partly, I just went there and that intersection is signed as "Dougie's Corner" and "Vicelli Square" or somesuch, definitely not Magoun. -- Beland (talk) 16:30, 8 July 2008 (UTC)
- Here's the citation they used: [1]. Page 155 of this book however refers to it is "Mechanic Square" so who knows. I don't live in Cambridge, ever heard of Mechanic Square, or are they both archaeic and possibly wrong? CSZero (talk) — Preceding undated comment added 19:30, 8 July 2008 (UTC)
- There is a large office park near that intersection called Technology Square. I have noted this as the present-day location of the eastern terminus of the turnpike. --Schzmo (talk) 22:24, 8 July 2008 (UTC)
