When is a new team a new team
editShould number of races not be 18 (and 0 for Spyker)? In "Spyker MF1 Racing", Spyker was just the title sponsor. I believe the team remained Midland for 2006. Otherwise, we'd be declaring McLaren a new team now that Vodafone replaces West.

- I agree with you. I think it should be 18 races for MF1 Racing (the registrated constructor's name for FIA was not Midland F1 Racing) and 0 for Spyker. Spyker applied his name to the head as title sponsor (Spyker MF1 Racing), because it was not able to change the name during the season without permissions by all other teams. Therefore, Spyker didn't enter the races in 2006 as a team, on the record.--Morio 21:33, 26 October 2006 (UTC)
Article name
editDo you think the article should be moved instead to Midland F1? Midland F1 Racing is certainly better than MF1, but I think the "Racing" is superflous. A number of articles are still redirected here from Midland F1 suggesting that is a form that editors prefer to use.
There is a precedent for this styling set by other F1 teams:
- Toyota F1 ("Panasonic Toyota Racing")
- WilliamsF1 ("WilliamsF1 Team")
- Honda F1 ("Honda Racing F1 Team")
