Talk:Midvaal Local Municipality

The article refers mostly to negative press and contains very little factual detail about the municipality. The media article provided as a reference is an example of poor and inaccurate reporting. I tried to amend this by adding the official website as a reference and remove the negative and one-sided media article.
Please see Emfuleni Local Municipality - why does that article contain factual details about the municipality instead of all the negative reporting about it? Wikipedia is being used to tarnish the image of Midvaal Local Municipality for a political agenda.
Information contained in the article is also outdated. The current Mayor is Timothy Nast and not Marti Wenger.
- I have corrected the name of the Mayor and reinstated the external link to the Municipality's website. You can add the sort of information found at Emfuleni Local Municipality if you have access to the appropriate census reports for Midvaal (remember to cite your sources), which would produce a more balanced article. Something about the geography and history of the area would also improve it considerably. For an idea, you may wish to have a look at Aberdaron, Tameside or Northumberland, which present different examples of how to produce an interesting article about a place.
- The section that you complain about is cited, but the link is dead. I have noted the dead link on the page. If this is not replaced within, say, seven days, it would be appropriate to remove the section as unverified. It is up to the user insisting on it being included to provide a valid citation, which they have so far failed to do.
