POV issues
editI did a major copyedit, but there are some POV issues I didn't address. E.g. "This kind of disturbance proved that the leader of the communist youth Nicolae Ceauşescu and chief editor of Scânteia newspaper Silviu Brucan were not bold enough to confront Fărcăşanu in a public debate to back up their ideology." "…although the police weren't qualified to make political analysis. The report claimed…" - Jmabel | Talk 04:51, 10 February 2009 (UTC)
Moreover, let me note here that the "Mihail Fărcăşanu - Noua Arhivă Românească..." source comes from a blog, and that the "Discordiile interne..." article, while useful background on what was happening among Romania's opposition parties in 1944-46, barely mentions Fărcăşanu, only noting that he understood the PNL and PNŢ's betrayal of Cristescu would have adverse consequences for the two parties, and that the PNŢ remained implacably hostile toward him, even in exile. - Biruitorul Talk 16:49, 11 February 2009 (UTC)
- I will also add that, prima facie, the article needs serious copyedits not just for tone and quality of sourcing, but also for format and style. Dahn (talk) 04:16, 12 February 2009 (UTC)
- Oh and: did anyone notice that the DYK entry cited above (which I myself only noticed here) is ungrammatical? I mean: "published in the newspaper" (which newspaper?). Did it actually go like that on the main page?
- I'm not trying to bring the author(s) down, but this kind of writing is very, very sloppy, be it by mistake or by oversight. Dahn (talk) 04:20, 12 February 2009 (UTC)
