A minor edit, changing the description of Miho's throwing weapons from "Nazi symbol" (which is misleading, not to mention possessed of a negative connotation) to the more accurate "Swastika." Eluorn 02:46, 23 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

i think this is wrong: In the "Family Values" yarn, Dwight also remembers one incident that had to do with Miho killing a cop ("Remember what went down the last time you killed a cop."[ 2 ]). This refers to Miho killing Jack Rafferty in "The Big Fat Kill". Because dwight didnt have surgery back then, but when jack rafferty was killed he had.

Just a note, where it was suggested that Miho wasn't a prostitute, I added a reference to her being one, as found in chapter five of "A Dame to Kill for.

Seems like someone removed this. Maybe you should re-add it? Also, you can sign you enty by adding four tilds to the end. 216.188.249.117 (talk) 21:45, 14 August 2008 (UTC)Reply
Perhaps not. Not sure why it was removed, However all Dwight says is that he'll be needing her "Services" which is pretty vague and can easily apply to her much more overt occupation of being an assassin. Not debating that she might be, but wouldn't be encyclopedic unless it was much more explicit than that. Nar Matteru (talk) 23:26, 14 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

RACIAL SLURS

edit

In Family Values Dwight made comments about Miho being offended by racial slurs when one thug says to her "jap slut" and "jap slag" It's hard to tell, but it seems that Miho behaves in an even more sadistic way when confronted to a prey that speaks to her like that

Japanese script

edit

The article on Japanese Wikipedia for the Sin City movie just lists her name in katakana, so that's what I put in the article. Because she was created by a Westerner, I'm pretty sure she wasn't given any kanji to start with, but maybe someone else has more information.

Kimono Business.

edit

Can we decide this on the talk page, instead of reverting back and forth.

Also, since the character appears in two mediums, a comic book and a movie, which takes precedence? Because the comic version doesn't look like a kimono. Nar Matteru (talk) 05:09, 27 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

reply to TTN/Consensus

edit

If possible, please just leave this up for a little bit. Please look at Wikipedia:Consensus#Consensus as a result of the editing process and note the following quote "Consensus does not require either that you get prior "permission" to make changes or that the acceptance of your changes afterwards be formally documented." The rest of the section is also relevant. You want me to hold a discussion when nobody has actually voiced a dissenting opinion. The article has only been edited by anons this entire year, so I really don't know what you're expecting. TTN (talk) 16:14, 26 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

At least this time you're being civil, but this really does belong at the _article_ talkpage, so I am moving it there. I didn't respond earlier because of your screeds about my motivations, which are not your business and have no bearing on the worth of any article. We've both been around a while, there's no reason to talk down to me or to ascribe any motive whatsoever to my dissension to your mass merge. Now at least you're warmer, so here goes.
  • As just plain decency or good form, whether "permission" to make changes, or acceptance afterwards yada and soforth, you should have at least on one of these articles, perhaps the merge target, said you were planning to do something like this. And yes, I have read WP:BOLD.
  • I have voiced a dissenting opinion, so you can't say nobody has.
  • What I am expecting is that over the course of a 3 1/2 year old article, whether this last 8 months has been only anons is but a small part of the total edits and that it reasonably holds no more weight than any other time period. These articles are not and have not been the sole purview of either anons or yourself. Assume good faith, or at least that others would like to know your plans.
  • Further, you've taken a well-written, well-thought out article and gutted it down to a paragraph. The work itself may not be Ulysses or Brothers Karamazov, but there are far more examples for lesser works with their own character pages. And yes, I've read WP:OTHERCRAPEXISTS. It still deserves better treatment.
Thanks for at least sitting down at the table. I'm listening now with an open ear. Chris (クリス • フィッチュ) (talk) 16:33, 26 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
How was I questioning your motives? I just stated the simple fact that you've only edited the article once, so it is very unlikely that you have any sort of personal connection it.
You just again restated it, it's unnecessary and it's crap. (and it's motivations, not motives, there's a difference) My motivations, my connections to any given article, are my business, not your business. Leave off already. Chris (クリス • フィッチュ) (talk) 16:24, 28 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
It's all good to want to be open and have common courtesy, but when dealing with completely dead articles (some of the main characters have less edits than this one in the last year), there is just no point. You can talk about how people have edited it in the past, but that doesn't change the fact that only anons have made any major edits to it in a very long time. If it's really that important to have a simple message on the character list talk page, I'll do that, but I'm not going to bother with the regular merge discussion process.
A simple message is good form, yes. Chris (クリス • フィッチュ) (talk) 16:24, 28 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
As for the content, the article is made up of plot summaries. That content is not relevant enough to include within a character list, as they only cover the general description. Everything else about the character is included within the entry. Though if I missed anything that you can see, I'll include it there as well. TTN (talk) 16:07, 27 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
Okay, I'll give it a look after work tomorrow. Chris (クリス • フィッチュ) (talk) 16:24, 28 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
