Mii design
editmiyamoto said that the mii design was based of the kokeshi at the game developers conference today. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by The dez (talk • contribs) 05:04, 9 March 2007 (UTC)
- He said plenty more than that, perhaps enough that we can have a section on the history behind the development of the "Mii" concept. Actually, this article in general could use some cleanup. Dancter 21:10, 10 March 2007 (UTC)
Maby you can say that you can make a Mii look like a Wailous to show how virsitle it is. Anubiz 15:11, 4 June 2007 (UTC)
A stub?
editWoah woah woah,it says this page s a stub, but its not!A stub is a page you dont have to scroll down to. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 75.117.8.202 (talk) 23:37, 14 April 2007 (UTC).
- No, a stub is a page which has an incomplete amount of information on the subject. 81.233.196.49 (talk) 12:31, 26 June 2008 (UTC)
The external links and adding pictures to this article
editHaving just made a major revision to this article, I still have about two issues that need to be sorted out, perhaps with the help of a more experienced moderator or editor. Firstly, there is the external links section, which I'm sure does not comply with Wikipedia:NOT, but I am unsure about what unofficial links to delete, or whether to simply just delete them all. On a more positive note, I would like to also add a couple of images to the Development section, but am unsure how to do so, and what copyright tags to use. Could someone please help me with this? The first is this:[1], and should probably be included nearer the second paragraph. Here [2] is the source (the official Wii website), and could the text "This Nintendo DS caricature software was the immediate precedent to the Mii channel." be included underneath? (Please and thankyou!)
The second picture seems slightly more complicated, as it is a picture taken by someone at Kotaku whilst at the actual Miyamoto GDC conference. It shows a picture of what appears to be the original Famicom face editing system, and should probably be featured near or about the first paragraph of the section. Could the text "This face editing software for the original Famicom started the Mii design process over 20 years ago." be added underneath? (Again, please and thankyou.) --Zooba 10:52, 16 June 2007 (UTC)
Legalities
editIt is violated for a Mii creator to create a Mii of a character they don't own (eg. Mario, Luigi, Peach, Zelda, Daphne, Velma, Wilma, etc.), otherwise it violates the owner's privacy. --PJ Pete
- Is it? Can we get some more information on this? --Zooba 07:45, 7 July 2007 (UTC)
- Maybe if thy charged other people for it, otherwise isn't it just within the realm of Fan Art? Doktor Wilhelm 09:51, 1 November 2007 (UTC)
OK but if you do do that how would they find out? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.217.124.4 (talk) 22:11, 21 September 2008 (UTC)
You have to be joking! or the check mii out channel would of never been made! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.158.171.96 (talk) 14:31, 11 June 2010 (UTC)
Birthday

- Not really , it can just be used for reference. Problem Detective (talk) 14:32, 16 November 2023 (UTC)
Just make a mii on monday and put its birthday on tuesday...then on tuesday you look on your wii and if nothing happens then the answer is no. Id do this but I dont have a wii. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Invader Chason 123456 (talk • contribs) 01:05, 5 January 2009 (UTC)
David Hawley reference
editThe reason why I am deleting this link is because I am concerned that it simply isn't notable. I don't see what is so amazing about the idea that someone stumbled upon the coding for Special Miis, nor that the Miis use different coding. Can whoever is adding the link propose why it is so notable to be included? --Zooba 17:24, 19 October 2007 (UTC)
It is not the coding that is notable it is what seems like a reaction by Nintendo to the discovery, by sending out official special miis. Something which has not happened since.--Guest 11:50 31 October 2007 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.110.100.240 (talk)
That is not provable. Nintendo may have been planning to send out special Miis for ages. And it's not like the Miis were just random people, but rather of famous people they had used in their advertising. --Zooba 10:19, 3 November 2007 (UTC)
Well put the facts and dates in and leave the 'unprovable' up to the readers interpretation —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.110.100.240 (talk) 16:38, 5 November 2007 (UTC)
Well, if the coding itself, nor the discovery of it, is notable, why should it be included if there can be no proven link to it influencing Nintendo? Wikipedia does not allow Original Research, which is what this is. --Zooba 19:53, 5 November 2007 (UTC)
Merge discussion
editI am proposing a merge discussion on several Wii articles - the discussion to be, however, what to merge and where. If anyone would like to join in, please go to Talk:Wii. - A Link to the Past (talk) 17:51, 28 October 2007 (UTC)
List of games featuring Miis
editNow that the "Comparison of Wii games" article is deleted, can we post a list of all the games that incorporate Miis in some form here? — NES Boy 20:13, 2 November 2007 (UTC)
- List of Wii games using Miis - I created that article before "Comparison of Wii games" was made. It was merged into the list, but now its back! - Zomic13 03:51, 3 November 2007 (UTC)
Confusion ???
editHow come on the "Wario Ware: Smooth Moves Credits" they have a special design on their shirts? How is that possible? Sampo Sheep (talk) 20:08, 28 December 2007 (UTC)

Golden Mii Trousers?
editDoes anyone have a citation for the claim that once you connect your wiimote to your computer via Bluetooth that any Miis on your wiimote will have golden pants? I think it's false and should be deleted. —Preceding unsigned comment added by PastramiX (talk • contribs) 00:36, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
- The way you phrase the statement makes it false; the code of the Mii needs to be changed (through a program on the PC) before the Mii will have a golden trousers, it doesn't just happen once the bluetooth has connected. Doktor Wilhelm 21:05, 3 February 2008 (UTC)
Mii Limit # On the Wii incorrect?
editI'm sure that the maximum number of miis on the wii is only 100, while the article says that the maximum is 300. Can anybody tell me if that is true or false? If the limit is really 300, did it come in a recent update?
- I'm not sure if the 300 number is correct, but I know that it is definitely not 100. (I have aprox. 50 Mii's in my Plaza and nearly 200 in my Parade). -16:30, 27 March 2008 (UTC)
Actually, I think the limit in the plaza is 100 (i can't make anymore than that) and i believe this does NOT include the miis in the mii parade... so maybe that number (300) is incorrect? can anyone comfirm this?
If the switching plazas thing is true then the number 300 might make sence under the conditions of 100 per plaza and 3 usable plazas —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.217.124.4 (talk) 22:07, 21 September 2008 (UTC)
Merge Check Mii Out into this?
editThe thing of it is, I believe that since this channel is just about Mii and is pretty much discussing "Mii uploading, downloading, and contests". It could be merged quite easily. - A Link to the Past (talk) 05:23, 7 May 2008 (UTC)
Mii limit number
editAculy, one time when I was playing my friends wii I picked up a mii and moved it to a different plaza {I know this because the floor changed colors and the screen went black for like 3 miliseconds}but I also know that one time me and that same friend made 100 miis and I told him to switch plazas and make some more and we couldnt figuer out how to but I still think that if you pick one up and move it all the way to the left of right of the screen you can switch plazas —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.217.124.4 (talk) 22:03, 21 September 2008 (UTC)
Can someone that has a wii try this and prove it right or wrong? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.217.124.4 (talk) 22:09, 21 September 2008 (UTC)
The limit in the Mii PLAZA is 100. I don't know what the limit in Mii Parade is. You can't have multiple plazas, man. 67.183.168.172 (talk) 17:06, 8 April 2009 (UTC)
