NPOV

edit

This article is full of NPOV violating statements, but the following serves as a good example of why I nominated this article for an NPOV-check: "many insiders consider Darnell's days are numbered in the cesspool of entertainment he lords over at FOX". Who are those insiders, and is it a fact that the "entertainment he lords over at FOX" is a cesspool? Haxwell 17:03, 29 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

The rant was added two days ago by an anonymous IP and was clearly out of line. I've removed it. — stickguy (:^›)— || talk || 17:21, 29 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Thanks.. It took me longer to notice you did it, than to get it done. How cool is wikipedia? (Note, I am removing the POV-Check) Haxwell 18:11, 30 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

CharlieD15 is adding content to the lead that Darnell is "known as one of the most influential and highly regarded figures in the history of reality TV programming". The source is not a secondary source, and the wording is blatantly promotional. Furthermore, CharlieD15's edits emphasize his most recent position while relegating Darnell's much longer career at Fox, the part he is actually well-known for, to a secondary role, giving a skewed impression of his career. For these reasons I'll revert the changes. (The previous revision of CharlieD15's was even more blatantly promotional and not backed up by the given sources which in part didn't even mention Darnell. It was also problematic from a copyright point of view.) Huon (talk) 01:14, 11 January 2018 (UTC)Reply
