As the subject of this article I have a conflict of interest, but for what it's worth, the content looks fine to me. To help future editors here are some other sources that could be useful.
I'm really not trying to be difficult here, but the source simply reports Mike's description of himself, as far as I can tell. I have no doubt that Mike has a strong interest in entomology, is a member of the Entomological Society of New Zealand (which is open to everyone), but does that make him an entomologist, particularly since that is the very first thing that this WP article attributes to him? For example, could I claim to be an astrophysicist just because I have an interest in the area (I don't, by the way, make the claim or even have any interest!), and maybe join a society and help organise conferences, etc.? ... That source specifically says he is "a dedicated entomologist". It doesn't say "Mike calls himself an entomologist". Dickison has a PhD in zoology, specifically on the evolution of giant flightless birds. He’s worked as an academic researcher, a teacher and, for the past four years, the curator of natural history at Whanganui Regional Museum. A dedicated entomologist, he’s a regular on RNZ’s popular Critter of the Week. And now he’s New Zealand’s first Wikipedian-at-Large, thanks to a $61,000 grant that will see him spend the next 12 months touring the country, spreading the Wiki word. That is what the source says with full context. I'm not sure I follow your objection, unless it is to the source itself?
