Duntroon entry date
editDear Backswamp, You recently changed Mike Hindmarsh's year of joining the ADF from 1975 to 1976, but you didn't provide any explanation, or any evidence to support your change. Could I bother you to explain why you think he joined the ADF in 1976?, Also, do you have any evidence to support that? Thanks, Pdfpdf (talk) 14:03, 26 September 2008 (UTC)
- I'm a relative to Mike and upon showing him the page he said that his entry date to Duntroon was wrong. However since then I have forgotten the exact reason. Backswamp (talk • contribs) 23:11, 26 October 2008 (UTC)
Thanks for the reply. If you can get some more information, that would be appreciated too. Cheers, Pdfpdf (talk) 00:07, 27 October 2008 (UTC)
Retirement
editDear Pdfpdf, Oncewerewarriers
You have recently added to Mike Hindmarsh's biography with information regarding his recent retirement. However you have not provided any sources for the accusations that you made. Per the Wikipedia guidelines for Biographies of Living Persons, poorly sourced or libellous material is to be deleted immediately. Please provide a citation to reinforce the opinions expressed or delete the paragraph as it may be perceived as slander. I would also be interested as to how you obtained information about his activities whilst posted in the Middle East and his next role. Backswamp (talk • contribs)
- "Dear Pdfpdf, You have recently added to Mike Hindmarsh's biography with information regarding his recent retirement." - No, not me. Those additions were made by this edit by User:Oncewerewarriers. My contribution was to put in a section heading, add a reference confirming the retirement, and add {{cn}} to the end of Oncewerewarriers' "poorly sourced or libellous" paragraph. (Yes, like you, I am interested to know how & from where Oncewerewarriers obtained that information.)
