The existence of this combined disambiguation page implies two things - that every Mike Powell is necessarily a Michael Powell, and vice versa that is every Michael Powell is also a Mike Powell. The former seems likely, but the latter doesn't. I noticed this because looking for the long jumper seemed unnecessarily complicated. When I look at https://pageviews.toolforge.org/massviews/?platform=all-access&agent=user&source=wikilinks&range=latest-20&sort=views&direction=1&view=list&target=https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_Powell_(disambiguation) it's pretty clear that the best known Mike among them by far is indeed the long jumper. This redirect/merge seems like a wrong application of WP:DABCOMBINE / WP:PT. --Joy [shallot] (talk) 19:51, 5 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

I did a redirect swap for a start, let's see if it works out or if anyone actually objects. --Joy [shallot] (talk) 09:46, 8 January 2022 (UTC)Reply
JFTR I pasted https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:PrefixIndex/Mike_Powell into a PagePile so we can see clearly the list of views:
While it's possible that the partial disambiguator "athlete" shouldn't count completely into this, that's been redirected to the same person since 2014, and the numbers are still overwhelming even if some of that traffic is ignored (it's still way beyond 50%). --Joy [shallot] (talk) 10:00, 9 January 2022 (UTC)Reply
Another method of pageviews is to use the search, but it somehow matches some random title, so the query is a tad uglier, yet it shows the disambiguation page as well:

The search is also interesting if we modify it a bit:
https://pageviews.toolforge.org/massviews/?platform=all-access&agent=user&source=search&range=all-time&project=en.wikipedia.org&sort=views&direction=1&view=list&target=intitle:%22Powell%22%20%22Mike%20Powell%22
There's a few references to fictional characters and some sibling references, but that's about it it seems. --Joy [shallot] (talk) 15:20, 9 January 2022 (UTC)Reply
