Nomination as "political party office" in box at end of article

I have reverted a box added to the bottom of the article about the article subject being the Republican nominee for governor and listing this nomination as a "political party office" [1]. This is not a party office, and its inclusion seems excessive and unnecessary. I'm not sure why these are being added to many local and state articles recently, as the content is already covered in the body of the article. Some people unsuccessful run for dozens of offices, and so why we should start including these nominations as separate boxes? I have not seen a single major politician have these boxes on their article, such as members of Congress or U.S. presidents. – notwally (talk) 15:23, 20 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
