editIs this the Michael Thomas this article describes? Calliopejen1 (talk) 18:29, 3 August 2011 (UTC)
Probably not. Michael David Thomas is a more likely candidate for the identity of the man in your photograph. Izzy (talk) 20:55, 3 August 2011 (UTC)
Autobiographic edits
editAn anonymous editor made some very interesting edits. The nature of these suggests an autobiographic or similar contribution. Personally, I have no problem with that. But I have smoothed the article out to avoid unreferenced detail that looks as if it most likely comes from an inside source. For example, I suggest that lists of which consulting jobs he worked on should be referenced to an internet accessible source if they are to be included. I hope that helps. See Wikipedia:Autobiography
As an aside, Mike Thomas is an interesting character because his career illustrates a view of politics which prioritises deals done between small numbers of people at the elite level. I believe that historiographers refer to this as "high politics".Izzy (talk) 16:29, 4 August 2017 (UTC)
The autobiographic edits seem to have started again. I have no problem with such edits so long as they simply add detail which is all they currently do. But the moment they seem intended to make the article more favourable to its subject then there will be a problem.Izzy (talk) 16:30, 7 October 2018 (UTC)
