If anyone has any images (anime or manga) they can contribute here I'd greatly appreciate. My laptop's in the shop currently (I'm borrowing one in the meantime) and I don't have my screencap or image editing program on this one. Katsuhagi 17:31, 17 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

The cats of My-Otome

edit

3 cats are shown onscreen, to my knowledge:

  • The black cat with the x-shaped marking and an earring, the one that is seen with Mashiro and Arika and called "Mikoto".
  • The black cat with a z(乙?)-shaped marking, seen with Mikoto the Cat Goddess in episode 23 and in My-Otome Zwei episode 1.
  • The black cat with a crescent-shaped marking, seen briefly with Natsuki and Nao at the end of episode 22/beginning of episode 23.

When Mikoto the Cat Goddess calls for Jubei during episode 23, the one with the x-shaped scar and earring responds. In addition with DVD special 7, it seems the cat has 3 names: Mikoto, Cat No. 10, and Jubei. Phony Saint 17:48, 7 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Rewatching the Zwei OVA, it appears that the cat with Nao is actually a fourth cat with different markings. Also, the Meowterializing cat makes a reappearance in the My-Otome PS2 game, so it's a bit hard to say that it's just a joke (implying that it's non-canon), more of a running gag and a parody of the other Otome. Ah, thanks for the clarification. I only remembered seeing two cats. I'm also not up to date as far as the games go so I didn't know the Otome kitty reappeared. (I don't have a region compatible PS2). Katsuhagi 21:39, 7 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Fictional shapeshifters?

edit

Why? It could possibly apply to Mikoto Minagi, Mikoto the cat or Mikoto the Cat Goddess (damn you, Sunrise), but neither of them ever shapeshift, to my knowledge. - Sikon 19:58, 11 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

In the My-Otome manga Mikoto changes form between a cat and a human, so that's why she's in there. Katsuhagi 20:51, 12 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:Mikoto MO cropped.gif

Image:Mikoto MO cropped.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
