I worked at a hotel near the original Milestones on Denman and each Tuesday after our shift, 3 of us went to Milestones to drink with Terry, the founder/owner. He started with a very small place in 1985 but in 1987 he expanded into the space next door. He expanded further eventually taking up the whole building store front. He had a huge menu and served very large portions on big oval plates. He was great fun and told us stories about when he was younger and drove rigs for major rock bands.
