editI've just reverted BlueBoar's revision which removed statement sourced to Hutton's Triumph of the Moon that the Mason's Word was the precursor to Freemasonry. (The reference is a good one, Hutton who is a very recognised historian does indeed state that this is so.) This left an orphaned reference to the Mason's Word in the text.....I'm obviously expecting further discussion here. Does the wording need to be improved? Jeremy (talk) 10:56, 9 April 2010 (UTC)
- BlueBoar had a point. The article confuses the password with the societies it restricted access to. I've re-worded. Fiddlersmouth (talk) 12:09, 3 May 2013 (UTC)
