Go on then, let's see if we can get one step closer to a Good topic. Harrias talk 10:21, 19 September 2017 (UTC)
- What reference is backing up the first half of the opening paragraph of the History section? The first one I see is ref #6, "Grid Rivalries Renewed Today In Pro Bowl", but that doesn't back up most of the information given.
- Done Added refs, and the rest is supported by ref 10.
- Is there a wikilink we could use for "rushing yards"?
- Done Linked "rushing" to Rush (gridiron football).
- "Perry, taking advantage of Johnson's blocking..." This is the first mention of Johnson's blocking – what is it, and was he well-known for being good at it?
- Done Made mention of him being known for his blocking earlier in the section.
- "The Million Dollar Backfield was disbanded after the 1956 season when Johnson was traded to Detroit. The backfield of Tittle, Perry, and McElhenny remained intact through the 1960 season." Given how good they were, it might be worth clarifying here why they made that trade, if there are sources to back it up.
- Done Looks like they were desperate for defensive players.
- "..with whom he had the successful years of his career.." Should this be "the most successful years"?
- Done
Other than that, I can't find much to fault with this, a nice piece of work. Harrias talk 10:52, 19 September 2017 (UTC)
- @Harrias: I believe that's all. Thanks for the review. Now I'll see about that good topic. Lizard (talk) 02:39, 20 September 2017 (UTC)
@Lizard the Wizard: Two further questions; is there any information on who first applied the moniker to the players? And would it be worth mentioning in the prose (rather than just the See also section) that the Chicago Cardinals had a backfield with the same name? Harrias talk 06:36, 20 September 2017 (UTC)
- I managed to find the source of the moniker, but nothing that discusses the relation of the Cardinals' backfield to this one. It seems it was just a coincidence, so I don't think it's worth mentioning in prose. Lizard (talk) 15:41, 20 September 2017 (UTC)
- Thanks for your work, especially on some of my queries that definitely weren't necessary for GA, but were nice additions anyway! I found this a nice, well-written article that was accessible even to someone with very little american football knowledge. It passes all the GA criteria, well done.
