Adding AFTCO to the article
editPart of an edit requested by an editor with a conflict of interest has been implemented. |
Hello:
The company referred to in this article, first Axelson Fishing Tackle Company, then changed to America Fishing Tackle Company, goes by the acronym AFTCO. Much like UCLA is listed here instead of writing out University of California, Los Angeles each time it is mentioned.
Could the title of this section be changed to American Fishing Tackle Company, which it has been since 2000? Also, can we include the acronym one time in the article next to the first mention of American Fishing Tackle Company? Thank you for considering these requests. - Partly done: @Dlaftco, added the acronym. However, it looks like the sources given mostly use the old name or acronym, so I'm inclined to keep that as the section title unless you can show that the other one was the more common usage. Rusalkii (talk) 04:27, 15 August 2024 (UTC)
- Hello [[User:Rusalkii}}. Thank you very much for responding to the request for the Milton Shedd article regarding the name AFTCO. I’m wondering if we can make one small change to the edit? Instead of saying ‘sometimes known as AFTCO’, can it say ‘known as AFTCO?’ The company is over 60 years old and has been known as AFTCO even before the early 70s when it was purchased by Shedd. Thank you for considering this request. Best, Dlaftco (talk) 17:12, 27 August 2024 (UTC)
