Deletion from article of previous mascots

edit

Why was the list of past mascots deleted from the history section of the article? Seems like a very meaningful and pertinent piece of info to me... - CollegeSportsGuy 11:43, 11 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Because someone added them to the history section. Miaers 14:37, 11 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:WisMi 5ub0e81hzywd82c3vtx2.gif

edit

Image:WisMi 5ub0e81hzywd82c3vtx2.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

possible merger

edit

I've added notes at the top of this article and Milwaukee Panthers, re the two should probably be merged into one article. Eagle4000 (talk) 03:45, 1 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

This was an accidental fork, created (no doubt in good faith) during the perennial argument over whether to leave the University's name out of the team's name. I created a redirect to take care of it. --Orange Mike | Talk 15:32, 5 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

File:Mke panthers logo.png Nominated for Deletion

edit
An image used in this article, File:Mke panthers logo.png, has been nominated for deletion at Wikimedia Commons in the following category: Deletion requests May 2012
What should I do?

Don't panic; a discussion will now take place over on Commons about whether to remove the file. This gives you an opportunity to contest the deletion, although please review Commons guidelines before doing so.

  • If the image is non-free then you may need to upload it to Wikipedia (Commons does not allow fair use)
  • If the image isn't freely licensed and there is no fair use rationale then it cannot be uploaded or used.

To take part in any discussion, or to review a more detailed deletion rationale please visit the relevant image page (File:Mke panthers logo.png)

This is Bot placed notification, another user has nominated/tagged the image --CommonsNotificationBot (talk) 19:27, 9 May 2012 (UTC)Reply
