Recent Edits
editI have recently deleted some edits for the following reasons:
1. They were not written from a neutral point of view - they seemed to be written entirely for the purpose of discrediting Davies. (WP:NPOV) 2. No reliable sources were provided to back up the information (WP:RS)
Also, I would suggest there was a potential conflict of interest and that some of the information added could be construed as self-promotion. (WP:COI).
Some of the information may well be relevant, but it needs backing up and needs to be written in a more neutral fashion (for example by including Davies' responses at the time to the specific allegations). Frinton100 (talk) 02:10, 9 October 2015 (UTC)
- @Frinton100: I agree with this action, apart from the NPOV issue this is a BLP and needs to be carefully sourced. I previously researched and added some information about the New River Retail involvement, complete with references, which I think is relevant to the article, but this was deleted in early September with no real reasoning cited. May I suggest we restore that information, complete with references? WaggersTALK 12:14, 9 October 2015 (UTC)
@Waggers:, I can see that some of the info you added might not be considered relevant (e.g. what they are planning to do with their empire of public houses), but how about this for the Personal Life section:
Davies is married to Mark and has two children. She is a keen runner and has completed several long distance races, including marathons. Both Mims and Mark Davies are shareholders in New River Retail plc, a company for which Mark also acts as finance director,The company owns 29 shopping centres and over 200 pubs along with a range of other assets.
- @Frinton100:That looks pretty much perfect to me. Further detail about the pub/convenience store thing would better sit on an article on the company itself, if it satisfies WP:N; I agree it's probably too tangential to be included here. WaggersTALK 14:06, 9 October 2015 (UTC)

- PS. Some of that other stuff about New River Retail is the sort of thing that may become relevant later on, if it ever has an impact on her political career, or vice versa.
- I have started NewRiver Retail. Edwardx (talk) 22:23, 9 October 2015 (UTC)
"Irrelevant and potentially contentious material"
editI'd like to canvas opinion on this change made today by User:Wahhall. I'm not sure which policy is being referred to here but I'd like to direct them to WP:CENSOR. Davies' voting record is not irrelevant, especially in the context of a potential conflict of interest. I accept the New River Retail reference might not be appropriate, although knowing she was involved in a company that has bought hundreds of pubs across the country with the intention of turning them into convenience stores isn't wholly without interest.
