I added the section, based on Hartcup, Hartmann, et al. I said "Mining was also used in the Korean War and in Vietnam. In Vietnam, rivers were extensively mined", but I think it was "for the first time", except I (vaguely) recall Hartmann said river mining was first done in Burma in about 1944. This looks like a pontoon amphibious truck, which drives into a river, unfolds the thing on its back and serves as ferry or pontoon bridge. Lastdingo (talk) 07:10, 7 December 2015 (UTC)Reply
