edit- For the workers community drinking establishments see Working men's club.
- For the workers social educational establishments see Miners' institute (Working men's institute).
Thinking of using these as disambiguation headings. Opinions welcomed.FruitMonkey (talk) 19:21, 8 August 2008 (UTC)
- 'Community drinking establishments' could describe pubs.
- Working men's clubs are usually members-only, and are not solely for drinking - they usually provide entertainment, and some have similar facilities to Miners' Institutes,(snooker etc.,) but without the educational aspect.
- So a description like ' For members-only working men's social clubs see Working men's club', may be a little more accurate (if a bit wordy)
- Then maybe ' For community educational and social establishments see Miners' institute (Working men's institute).' ♦ Jongleur100 ♦ talk 11:12, 9 August 2008 (UTC)
- I can live with that, do you want to do the honours?FruitMonkey (talk) 12:21, 9 August 2008 (UTC)
- Nah, your idea. (Searched for Thurcroft in Wiki and couldn't find it! Must have misspelled it.) ♦ Jongleur100 ♦ talk 12:54, 9 August 2008 (UTC)
- As you've probably seen I've done the disamb links anyway.
- I don't think this article will ever be complete if Welfare Halls aren't included. There is very little distinction between them and Miner' Institutes. I'd go further and suggest that they are included as an alternative title to Miners' Institute. What do you think? ♦ Jongleur100 ♦ talk 12:14, 13 August 2008 (UTC)
- I agree, otherwise it would create two small pages that covered the same ground. I think the two should be covered on the same page with differentiated sub sections.FruitMonkey (talk) 13:47, 13 August 2008 (UTC)
