Regarding the rating
editI have rated this article as "start" quality and "mid" importance.
I have rated it as "start" quality for the following reasons:
- References There aren't any. Detailed specifications of the mini SUV class are put forward apparently out of thin air, as are references to the history of the mini SUV. References to the sources of these, especially of the specifications, are needed.
- Neutral point of view The article appears to condemn modern mini SUVs as being fashion statements with no real off-road value. While this may be a valid opinion, it is still an opinion and creates a biased tone in the article. Valid, reliable, and documented facts are likely to be available to show the capabilities of both older and newer mini SUVs.
- Grammar Some work is needed on the grammar of the article. The most glaring (and probably most easily fixed) grammatical error is the incorrect verb usage in this line: "They have substitute off-road cosmetic features..."
- Content A more comprehensive history of the mini SUV might be in order. This would probably include the Willys MB from World War II, the Citroën Méhari, the Mini Moke, and other historic vehicles that would fit the category.
I have rated it as "mid" importance because, although there may be a significant market in the West for the type, I am not sure how significant the market is, nor how significant it is worldwide. I may have been conservative in that rating. If anyone can make a case for a "high" rating please state the case and make the appropriate changes.
I look forward to seeing the development of this article.
I would like to know who was the "smart" guy who invented this categories! You just mixed different kinds of cars in this so called "suv types"! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 46.189.224.249 (talk) 14:58, 23 October 2015 (UTC)

editThis article has long neglected, and doesn't even cite any sources. If someone wants to reinstate the article, bring some, more than 1, reliable and reputable source with it. Bookster451 (talk) 02:05, 21 April 2012 (UTC)
- I've added 1 ref, but the term Mini SUV is far from well recognised. It really should be merged with Compact SUV, and Mini SUV mentioned there as a potential sub-set of the classification. Warren (talk) 11:52, 29 August 2012 (UTC)
- I agree that the term is not well recognised (most of the examples are listed as subcompact crossovers), and that the article should be merged with Compact SUV. Cheers, 1292simon (talk) 04:12, 27 January 2019 (UTC)
