editAside from the WP:NATURALDAB of this title and its closer translation of the Chinese name and sense, Google Scholar shows that, although "Ministry of Justice" is more common than "Ministry of Punishment(s)", that's largely because of many, many results coming from the modern ROC and PRC ministries. "Board of Punishment(s)" is more than 6× more common than "Board of Justice". — LlywelynII 05:28, 30 May 2017 (UTC)
For the use of "ministry" over "board", see Talk:Ministry of Works. — LlywelynII 05:28, 30 May 2017 (UTC)
- Thanks for creating these much-needed articles on Imperial China. For what's it's worth, Charles Hucker himself uses "Ministry of Justice" in his later Dictionary of Official Titles in Imperial China (p. 245), published 1985. Adding this to the Google Scholar hits, I recommend moving to Ministry of Justice (imperial China). _dk (talk) 06:27, 30 May 2017 (UTC)
