I am working on a bio of Herschel V. Jones for wikipedia. It will be my first wiki-contribution. The bio is currently a work in progress at:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:JHBDC/Subpage

Jones was an early trustee and benefactor of the Minneapolis Institute of Arts. He also gave a collection of prints to MIA. I have some original biographical sources of information on him, but I am looking for more.

The Bath of Diana painting is in Rouen, France. 2A02:8070:D189:17E0:65F5:5DFC:5AA8:11C7 (talk) 22:22, 6 September 2022 (UTC)Reply

Far too many photos for a short article. Additionally it is very disturbing that a museum with an asian art collection that is considered among the finest in the country only had pieces from its European art collection in the article. Addtionally I had to work hard to find art work in Minneapolis Institute of Art's Mediawiki Commons category that was not European. Some asian art but most photos are of very poor quality. No photos from their african art collection or Native American art collection, etc... For an institution that has held Wikipedia Edit-a-thons to adding pages of underrepresented artist of color this is surprising. Myotus (talk) 02:47, 16 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
