Merger

edit

I believe that Minneapolis Board of Education is the body that runs the school district. In itself I don't think that it is notable but it would be a great addition to this article. P.Haney 02:26, 12 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Support. The Board of Education is the elected body that runs the Minneapolis Public Schools. At this time, there is no reason to keep the articles separate. If a board of education section in the MPS article were to be significantly developed in the future (at this point, both articles are stubs), it could always be moved back to its own article. Teacher vs. Staff counts

edit

I believe the teacher and staff counts are misleading. It can give the impression that MPS has 3302 teachers plus 6255 staff. I believe that the staff numbers are inclusive of the teachers - 3302 teachers plus 2953 staff for a total of 6255. I'd make the change myself, if I could track down the source of the numbers, but the linked pdf file seems to be empty.--jdege (talk) 16:21, 1 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

Here is a link to more recent figures that support what you're saying. Eóin (talk) 02:44, 2 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

"That study is inaccurate in the method it uses to calculate graduation rates. The district's response to that rate can be found here: http://www.mpls.k12.mn.us/APA" Seems very biased, needs rewriting —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.159.124.112 (talk) 01:36, 4 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

CSO Section

edit

The CSO section is uncited and contains a high degree of detail that may have been true in 2009, but much of which has since been shifted by current policies. I propose deleting it if it remains unsourced and/or moving some of the information into the history section with sources. Malvoliox (talk) 19:38, 30 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
