Succession of Roshei Yeshiva

edit

I was told that the succession of Roshei Yeshiva of the Mir was

R'Lazer Yudel Finkel till 1965

R'Chaim Shmuelevitz till 1979

R' Nochum Percovitz till the mid-80's

R'Beinush Finkel till 1991-2 (?)

R'Nosson Tzvi Finkel since then

I don't think R Beinush officially became Rosh Yeshiva until R'Nochum passed away. He had never really wanted to be Rosh Yeshiva in the first place.

Famous "Alumni"??

edit

The Mir has no record of certain people on this list ever being enrolled in the school. This includes Mr. Lemmer, and Mr. Barrow. Just because a person claims that "while they were in Jerusalem, they studied at the Mir" does not make them an alumnus any more than I am a alumnus of the Yale swim team because I once swam in the Yale pool.
