Proposed deletion
editI object to the proposed deletion of this entry. The entry has been edited to provide independent evidence of notability, and numerous sources had been cited to back up the claims. Miriam Allan is a young and emerging artist and her career had just taken off with numerous performances throughout Europe and Australia. In Australia she is considered one of the best young Australian sopranos. In her repertoire she has very difficult to perform early European works such as operas, oratorios and requiem by Bach, Handel and Mozart. Those pieces are only performed by very few experienced singers in the world. Please reconsider the proposed deletion of her entry to Wiki. Kgbo (talk) 03:08, 19 November 2009 (UTC)
- I also think she probably passes the notability criteria for a classical singer. However, while noting that there are two reviews for one of her performances, the article would be greatly improved by the inclusion of more sources (interviews, reviews) that are independent of the subject. There seem to be quite a few out there [1] While official biographies in programme notes or concert announcements can be useful sources for certain facts about the subject's background, they aren't considered reliable sources for establising notability.
