It seems to me that a Missa Solemnis is pretty similar to a requiem. Should that be mentioned? Perhaps addressing how they are different as well? -R. fiend 19:52, 26 July 2005 (UTC)Reply

Missa brevis = Messe solennelle, not Missa solemnis?

The article states that: Missa solemnis is Latin for solemn mass... [as] opposed to the more modest Missa brevis. In French, the genre is "Messe solennelle".

But doesn't the term "Messe solennelle" refer to "Missa brevis"?! Given that the subject of the first sentence is the topic of the article (Missa solemnis), this is confusing.
