editHow do I get rid of that long block of white space? Thanos6 20:14, 22 January 2006 (UTC)
- What long block of white space? --FuriousFreddy 03:23, 23 January 2006 (UTC)
- I'm seeing a big, long blank space that stretches down from the title until the first box (about the MSOE itself) ends and the second one begins, and then the article starts. Thanos6 04:01, 23 January 2006 (UTC)
Mister Mind
editI think that Mister Mind should get his own page--UltimatePyro 07:53, 16 July 2006 (UTC)
- I don't agree with that. Every time Mind pops up, a different incarnation of the Monster Society isn't far behind, leaving the door open for redundancy. However, moving this page to Mister Mind and the Monster Society would be a good idea. --FuriousFreddy 17:33, 16 July 2006 (UTC)
Shazam!: The Monster Society of Evil
editThis IS in continuity. It's an updated origin. "The Monster Society of Evil goes back to Batson’s early years, and Smith has ensured the book won’t be labeled an alternate history or imaginary tale. “When I was asked to do it, I was asked to relaunch Captain Marvel, and I have a clause in my contract saying that this is continuity,” Smith states. “This is continuity. This is not an All-Star version." - http://www.wizarduniverse.com/magazine/wizard/003354486.cfm - There you go. StarIV 08:21, 19 February 2007 (UTC)
Split
editIt has been suggested that this article be split into Mister Mind and Monster Society of Evil, please discuss. --Basique 12:54, 2 March 2007 (UTC)
- I vote no. When Mr. Mind shows up, the MSoE is never far behind. Thanos6 15:15, 2 March 2007 (UTC)
- I vote no as well, for the same reason. --FuriousFreddy 00:12, 5 March 2007 (UTC)
- I vote yes,in 52 Mr. Mind is with Skeets, not the Monster Society
- I vote yes, because the MSE is not dependent on Mister Mind.
- Additional Issue: Mister Mind was also a nickname for Anaxagoras, a famous Presocratic philosopher. Just tossing that out there.
- yes. while they were originally linked to each other they aren't now.
I vote a strong yes. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 108.73.124.169 (talk) 02:07, 3 May 2011 (UTC)
temporal paradox
editThe final issue of 52 shows a temporal paradox. At the Beginning of 52, Mind is found and experimented on. Then goes through events leading to the end of 52. thus being sent back to the beginning? If the Mind we see at the bigenning is the same one as at the end, What happened to the original?--Marhawkman 22:58, 9 June 2007 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:POWER OF SHAZAM 41.jpg
editImage:POWER OF SHAZAM 41.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
Team or character
editShouldn't the tempate be a comic team tempate then just a character? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.96.71.218 (talk) 17:49, 13 December 2009 (UTC)
Wicked
editIsn't Wicked Worm (Mister Mind and the Monster Society of Evil#Cultural references) imporant enough to have his own article? -Golem866 (talk) 14:12, 17 December 2009 (UTC)Golem866
Mister Mind and Star Trek: The Wrath of Khan
editThe way post-Crisis Mister Mind controls people's mind (entering their ears) is very similar to the way the character Khan (Ricardo Montalban) used some larvae to control people's mind in the movie Star Trek: The Wrath of Khan. This similarity is even more clear in Waid and Ross Kingdom Come, when Luthor uses the worms to brainwash Billy Batson. Is this just coincidence or has Ordway taken inspiration from Khan mind-controlling tecnique? Anyway, I think it should be mentioned.Luizlac (talk) 17:02, 18 February 2010 (UTC)

First Appearance
editI completely disagree with this wiki citing CMA#26 as the first "full" appearance of this character.
We see him in just two panels in issue #26, page 61, panels 2 and 3, with 3 being the only discernible representation of him.
However, neither of these panels show the character speaking, like previous issues, we only hear his voice in other panels and there is absolutely zero connection between the worm and the voice established in this comic.
This connection is not established until issue #27, and in an highly racist manner I might add, see CMA#27, pg.64, panels 4-6.
It's a similar situation with characters like Wolverine, Venom, Him/Warlock and Ultron. Each have similar first appearance cameos in preceding books, usually single-panel appearances where they utter a line as a cliffhanger to the next "full" appearance where they'll be represented speaking in multiple panels. That's the case with Mr. Mind and CMA#27. I will say though, it's rather unsettling to read the issue because of how racist it is. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Trentwolodko (talk • contribs) 10:45, 3 July 2019 (UTC)
