Cover
editI'm fairly certain that the cover shown is NOT the first edition cover as it states on the cover: "The famous best-seller suspense novel." Moreover, the cover shows that it is published by Crest Books, but the UK publisher was Collins and the US publisher Doubleday. I'm not certain what the first edition cover looks like, but this site seems to have covers which might be first editions: Victoria Holt (Jean Plaidy) fansite. I don't want to change anything until the person who input the current cover weighs in or someone else concurrs with me.

- I believe this is the cover of the first edition
https://www.abebooks.com/servlet/BookDetailsPL?bi=2290321422&cm_sp=snippet-_-srp1-_-tile2&searchurl=ds%3D10%26fe%3Don%26sortby%3D17%26tn%3Dmistress%2Bmellyn while the cover currently pictured is the first edition of the paperback release. We could change the caption on the current image to reflect this or change the image, but I'm unable to do this from my kindle. History Lunatic (talk) 04:33, 3 December 2021 (UTC)History Lunatic
