I believe that people need to get the facts straight before they open thier mouths about people. I read the article on Golden and Johnson yesterday, and was not impressed on how much information was misleading and inaccurate. Yes i do agree that Johnson and Golden done some horrific acts of violence, but they were young at the same time. They also done the sentence given them, or Johnson has. Golden will soon be released and then he too will have served his time behind bars as well. Not takin sides here, but they too lost a huge part of thier life behind bars. Granted they desirved it; but people are capible of being rehabilitated. They were young, again, and I believe that if given the proper chance they may become productive citizens in society one day. At the moment however, with Johnson being blown up all over the news again due to his recent arrest, this causes upset in communities all over. Looking at it from his point of view, however, how hard is it for him to get a job now? How hard for him is it to get back to normal life? Ok, he had a gun; do people know why he had a gun? Could it possibly be because of so may threats im sure he has received in his life? Does he have a right to defend his life, or would it be ok for someone to kick in his door late one evening and kill him and his loved ones? He has a right to have a gun, according to law, does he not? He has a clean record at the moment; he has every right as a citizen of America as the next person does I do believe. Is this right or not, thats probably debatible; I'm looking at the facts here, thats all. The1man 16:09, 5 February 2007 (UTC) |
