Why the spelling "Hila" and not "Hilla"? Is this really an "official" spelling? The Hebrew word has a dagesh in the "l", so is traditionally doubled in transliteration, so should be "Hilla". The dagesh is part of the semitic root, "HLL" (whose underlying meaning is "shine"), so it is of symbolic significance.
