Article title
editAs a quick note, I believe the title "Mixed team at the 2010 Summer Youth Olympics" is wrong. Mixed team refers to teams which have athletes from the two genders. Perhaps what is meant is "Mixed-NOC team at the 2010 Summer Youth Olympics". There are articles on such "mixed team" participation at the early modern Olympics, there are covered in the Mixed team at the 1896 Summer Olympics article. The possibility lies that the title of the article is itself wrong, or that times have changed and the proper terminology has changed as well. (Don't mean to besmirch anyone however! :D) As for the fact that newspapers and online portals are using "mixed team" right now, remember those are independent agencies not affliated to the official International Olympic Committee (IOC) or Singapore Youth Olympic Games Organising Committee (SYOGOC). The main discussion is continued at Talk:2010 Summer Youth Olympics medal table. Please add comments there instead of here unless necessary. ANGCHENRUI Talk♨ 06:23, 21 August 2010 (UTC)
Note I have moved the article from Mixed team at the 2010 Summer Youth Olympics (now a direct) to Mixed-NOC team at the 2010 Summer Youth Olympics. Perhaps some will disagree, but I am sure this will spawn a better discussion since no-action would be worse than some action. ANGCHENRUI Talk♨ 06:38, 21 August 2010 (UTC)
The article title isn't grammatically correct as is. As it is, it's "Mixed-National Olympic Committees participation..."; surely something like "Mixed National Olympic Committee participation" makes more sense? Strange Passerby (talk) 10:07, 23 August 2010 (UTC)
- No. The teams in question come from a number of NOCs. NOCs plural. David Biddulph (talk) 10:11, 23 August 2010 (UTC)
- Is there still any need for the hyphen, though? Strange Passerby (talk) 10:24, 23 August 2010 (UTC)
- Yep, that's used by IOC and SYOGOC. ANGCHENRUI Talk♨ 14:35, 23 August 2010 (UTC)

Medal summary section
editIs there really a need for this section? Each individual sport section is already a medal summary in their own right. Perhaps rename this section? Strange Passerby (talk) 15:14, 23 August 2010 (UTC)
- I was thinking a table showing statistics of the mixed-NOCs. ANGCHENRUI Talk♨ 14:08, 24 August 2010 (UTC)

Was clearing my sandbox. Not sure what to do with the proposed infobox hosted there, so I moved it to this article's talk page. Anyway, when the article goes up for GAN or any featured content nomination, I'd ask about the infobox since I think this one is neater :) ANGCHENRUI WP:MSE♨ 13:25, 21 October 2010 (UTC)
