Proposed merge
editIt has been suggested that this article be merged with flora of the Colorado Plateau and Canyonlands region with edit summary "Merge, very little here except a definition"[1].
- Oppose - Mixed desert shrub is a vegetatation type that is found in flora of the Colorado Plateau and Canyonlands region, but it is also found in other regions, so it makes no logical sense to merge the article into the other from a botany or ecology perspective.
- It is true that "very little here except a definition", for now, but that will change as work is done on it. I will be filling this article out starting with info in the cited source, and hopefully have help from others.
- Also, as stated at the talk page of flora of the Colorado Plateau and Canyonlands region, that parent article is to be very general, with the sub-articles having much specificity as to species, but not to the point of being lists. Please see what I did with Flora of the Sierra Nevada alpine zone, which would be a sub-article of flora of the Sierra Nevada, or the alpine flora section of ecology of the Sierra Nevada, but has way too much detail for either of those, and needs its own article.
