Suomenism and Ukonism?
editIs there any reliable source for the English terms Suomenism and Ukonism? I am not an expert of Neopaganism, but I couldn't find a single occurrence of the term Suomenism on the Taivaannaula website cited as a reference (Google: Suomenism site:taivaannaula.org), and the term Ukonism is used only on a handful of pages (Google: Ukonism). Both terms (and this article) are ridiculed by Finnish Neopaganists in this forum thread. --Silvonen (talk) 16:26, 11 August 2008 (UTC)
- I moved the article back to “Finnish Neopaganism” and removed those two neologisms. --Silvonen (talk) 05:03, 20 August 2008 (UTC)
Notability
editSo far, this seems to be mostly a phenomenon of "internet paganism". That's no slight on the Finns, as pretty much 90% of Neopaganism visible on the internet worldwide probably qualifies as "internet paganism". Experience shows that this is the typical first step, and de-facto pagan practice may or may not grow out of online beginnings within a decade or so. But unless we have third party reports on the existence of actual adherents, I am afraid that this article is spiritual vaporware, so to speak. --dab (𒁳) 16:21, 23 August 2010 (UTC)

Finnish neopaganism → Modern Finnish paganism – Proposed rename to be consistent with name change of Modern paganism page. Ingwina (talk) 08:12, 12 March 2023 (UTC)
Move to Modern paganism in Finland or Paganism in modern Finland, orsupport as proposed. — BarrelProof (talk) 20:14, 12 March 2023 (UTC)- After further reading, it seems that Finnish paganism is a distinct type of paganism rather than just being any paganism in Finland, so I have struck my alternative suggestions. — BarrelProof (talk) 05:07, 15 March 2023 (UTC)
