I find it disturbing that a military hero is equated with suicide bombers who target civilians. As far as I know the Fahmideh was not the first "modern suicide bomber" as some media attempt to portray him this demonizing Muslims. I remember I have read about similar suicidal attacks against tanks by Soviet soldiers during the World War II. Unfortunately I cannot find one in the list of category:Heroes of the Soviet Union.

Can someone please provide some references and add text for (1) criticism of Baer and (2) earlier military suicide bombing? Mukadderat 16:49, 26 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

James Buchan briefly mentions Fahmideh, and states he was 14 at his death in his 2012 Days of God: The Revolution in Iran and its Consequences on page 287, for what it is worth. Biosthmors (talk) pls notify me (i.e. {{U}}) while signing a reply, thx 20:53, 8 November 2015 (UTC)Reply
