anachronism?
editFrom its name I would think it a Meros (Merẽ)/Turma. From its commander's title its a Drungus/Chilliarchy and from its unit tree half the Imperial Tagmata. Could this be a modern term that the author used to identify a portion of the Byzantine military administration?What ever it is it needs attention.
