Misplaced addition
editI found the following addition at the bottom of the page. With some copyediting it might make it back into the article. --Addingrefs ( talk | contribs ) 12:33, 23 June 2009 (UTC)
- At Mokopane there is a place called Ga-Matlou, and it fall under Langa(Mapela).and those people who lived there they are from different areas around that place. so they grouped them selves so they can go back to their original places where they comes from in the farm near the mountains called drukensburg mountain in mokopane.
- so they did applied for that farms and now they are succesfull with their applications so now they are preparing to make changes in their community my ploughing different things.
Old name given undue prominence
editThe name Potgietersrus is falling into disuse, but once again, it has been given undue prominence. This pattern has been repeated in almost every Limpopo town article where a renaming has taken place. A Google fight link has been posted as a justification, which is flimsy as best, considering that current usage is not reflected in raw Google search results. - Well I can't find any other reference to which is used more except Google news, where Mokopane yields 3 and Potgieter 2. Bezuidenhout (talk) 09:03, 23 January 2010 (UTC)
Education
editI removed the following part from the article:
"Education: MEPS and MASE, are the schools supported by Anglo American are the only private school in the town providing quality education. These two schools have the mission to provide the best education to all South Africans across races and cultures."
Reason #1 - Non-approved abbreviation used for MEPS & MASE (I don't know what they stand for).
Reason #2 - unnesessary politicized expressions about "quality education needed for all SA citizens across race and culture" - that should in any case be every school's mission, not only those in Mokopane!
Reason #3 - Biased- there surely are many more schools around Mokopane, not mentioned in the article; they are also trying to reach above dream.
