editHi Bogdangiusca- I'd like to cleaned up this article, or at least help do so. What would you suggest? Many thanks.David Justin 17:27, 18 March 2006 (UTC)
- for start, the "News" section doesn't belong there. It should be merged with the rest of the article. bogdan 15:12, 20 March 2006 (UTC)
The title of this article is wrong
editThe title of this article suggests that the wines are about Moldavian wines when in fact, they are about Moldovan wines. The name Moldavia is reserved for the Romanian part of Moldova, not Republic of Moldova! The title needs to be changed so that to avoid any confusion. Of all the wines mentioned there, only Feteasca is Moldavian, and it has no place among the Moldovan wines. --Candide, or Optimism 18:27, 19 March 2006 (UTC)
- Yes, thanks for raising this. I've moved to article accordingly. Ronline ✉ 06:51, 20 March 2006 (UTC)
- I completely agree. Somebody should remove the banner suggesting this be renamed "Moldavian wine" again. -ThrowingStick/Talk 15:39, 14 May 2012 (UTC)
Kvint
editPart of my family is originally from a part of Moldova called Transnistria, where the inhabitants make a wine and a brandy called "Kvint." Should we mention it? I don't know too much, but I can ask my dad and his friends for the information. ALEX —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Halfsense (talk • contribs) 06:16, 1 April 2007 (UTC).

Fair use rationale for Image:Milestii Mici Logo.jpg
editImage:Milestii Mici Logo.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Size of the cellar
editIn Milestii_Mici_(winery), we have "Stretching for 250 kilometres (160 mi), of which only 120 kilometres (75 mi) are currently in use, the Mileştii Mici cellar complex is also the largest in the world" but in this entry we have "It stretches for 200 km, of which only 50 km are currently in use." which are obviously in conflict. —Preceding unsigned comment added by TNplinko (talk • contribs) 21:39, 27 March 2009 (UTC)
Amateurish article
editDuring the 300 years of Ottoman rule, Moldova saw a big decline in grapegrowing, as winemaking was forbidden by law.
I want that law quoted. I'm sure this is wrong. Cantemir wrote about the Moldavian wine which was exported in the region, in his times which falls right in the middle of those 300 years but one doesn't need to read Cantemir to know that in Moldavia as in Walachia no Turkish laws were applied, the internal affairs of Moldavia had nothing to do with the Turks. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 79.118.174.247 (talk) 23:17, 10 May 2009 (UTC)

Moldovan wine → Wine industry of Moldova – seems more correct RadioactiveBoulevardier (talk) 06:50, 18 November 2022 (UTC)
- Oppose per WP:CONSISTENT; Albanian wine, Azerbaijani wine, Bhutan wine, Brazilian wine, Egyptian wine, etc. BilledMammal (talk) 10:04, 18 November 2022 (UTC)
- Not directly related to this case, but shouldn't Bhutan wine redirect to Bhutanese wine per consistency? BhamBoi (talk) 19:36, 18 November 2022 (UTC)
- It should; I've boldly moved it. BilledMammal (talk) 13:15, 22 November 2022 (UTC)
