I think the claim that Nocera invented the technique is incorrect. Hiller et al. (1984) is often cited as being one of the seminal papers, and that's long before Nocera had anything to do with it that I can tell. I am also unaware of any such claim by Nocera himself. I am editing for this and if you object, please present some refutation in favor of Nocera's priority. Tarchon (talk) 02:13, 11 November 2008 (UTC)
