"Trial held in Courtroom No. 37 of the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, under Justice Douglas Rutherford, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. Court is booked until October"--Mohamed Aden Ighe (talk) 01:37, 5 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

I am removing the phrase " as part of the Canadian government's aim to send a clear message that "Canada is not a safe haven for heinous behaviour" ". Canada's judiciary operates independently of the executive, and it is not appropriate or accurate to ascribe a court's sentencing decision to broader policy objectives of the government of the day. Big restore

edit

After seeing a report of edit warring I found that there has been long term inappropriate POV insertions and deletions to this article by IPs and new users. I did a restore to the last version before all the disruption. That caught some minor edits by good faith editors to the inappropriate material, but no useful contributions to the restored version that I could find. With the page now semi-protected hopefully it will stay in good shape now. Legacypac (talk) 19:11, 4 January 2015 (UTC)Reply

@Legacypac: I do not think this page is protected yet. Should we request protection? -- Orduin T 19:18, 4 January 2015 (UTC)Reply
@Legacypac: An IP has reverted the restore, definitely requesting PP. -- Orduin T 19:28, 4 January 2015 (UTC)Reply

PP done now, but given the long term (since at least June 2014) issues by a range of IPs I think it needs to be indef protected. The guy is in prison for life, confirmed by Supreme Court of Canada, so unless he dies I can't see how this article will need to change much. Legacypac (talk) 20:05, 4 January 2015 (UTC)Reply

Well, lets wait until the protection is over, and if this continues, I will request indef protection. -- Orduin T 20:08, 4 January 2015 (UTC)Reply

"...military calibre rifles and ammunition..."

edit

What does this even mean? Like, the actual calibre of the rifles (e.g. 5.56 mm, 7.62 mm, .40 Cal., etc.)? If so, why not just list the actual calibre? If not, this is a meaningless smear by the same clowns who ban hunting rifles that look "military". 142.198.135.212 (talk) 20:50, 10 June 2023 (UTC)Reply
