The article only focuses on the occurrences in Leipzig and is lacking to give an overall view of the Monday demonstrations in the rest of East Germany 1989 and 1990, such as in other cities like Berlin, Plauen, Magdeburg, Dresden etc. Due to that fact it gives a misleading impression.--Zarbi1 (talk) 20:18, 22 April 2009 (UTC)

This article has a lot of fluff: it goes on to talk about more than just Monday October 9th: and nowhere is Kurt Masur mentioned. He conducted a performance there that monday; Brahms 2 and some other stuff. And there should be subsections for the cities; it will help with what Zarbi1 calls "misleading impression;" I agree with him.67.5.207.58 (talk) 04:37, 27 December 2015 (UTC)

Confused article

The comment above is correct, these demonstrations happened all over the country in small towns as well as cities, and not all on Mondays. In Erfurt, for example, they were on Thursdays. Tuesday was another popular day to hold them.

The article is quite poor and has uncited comments that seem to have been made up by wiki editors. There is also the confusing statement "The demonstrations eventually ended in March 1990...", then immediately below is a list of "cycles", saying they went on until April 1991.

The article should really be titled "Monday demonstrations in Leipzig", because those are the only ones it really deals with, and even they are only covered at a cursory level.Felixkrater (talk) 09:57, 7 August 2019 (UTC)
