editWell, I am not a historian. But I have doubts about the validity of the following sentence " Ala al-Din Kayqubad I and his immediate successor Giyath al-Din Kaykhusraw II swore an oath of vassalage with the payment of at least token tribute in the name of Ogedei Qaghan." As far as I know, Alaattin Keykubat was never a vassal of Ilkhanids. Ilkhanid suzerainty began by 1243 (Battle of Kösedağ) long after his death. Nedim Ardoğa (talk) 07:28, 12 September 2010 (UTC)
- If you carefully study Muslim sources, you will find the answer.Goodluck! He bought a peace by the oath of paying tributes.--Enerelt (talk) 04:56, 13 September 2010 (UTC)
